This is a collection of Northern California burial and death records from 1800-1900. The records come from four different books that cover both Northern California in general and San Francisco, El Dorado, and Tehama County cemeteries.

These records are from funeral homes within the San Francisco area from 1895 to 1985. Recorded on the forms are most of the information that would be found on a death certificate about the deceased such as name, surname, death date, place of death, place of burial, and possibly other information like gender, age, parents' names, birth dates and places, etc. The data in the race field is as seen on the record; examples include Black and Caucasian. A death certificate is attached to some of the forms along with a copy of the newspaper obituary which could list the names of children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters. These names of surviving family members could help you in your continued search for ancestry connections, especially as some of the records are as recent as the 1980s.

This database is an index to deaths reported in the several various Callaway County, Missouri, newspapers including the Missouri Herald and the Mokane Herald Post that in 1909 became the Mokane Missourian. The index covers deaths reported in these newspapers between 3 August 1900 and 30 December 1948. Most of the deaths reported in these newspapers took place in Callaway County, but many of the deaths reported took place throughout the state as well as the country, as reported deaths included relatives of residents, former residents, and current residents of Callaway County. Information contained in this index includes name of deceased, age at time of death (or birth date), date of death, and date of newspaper report. Note: The index may not contain all of this information for each individual. Information found in this database may also be checked against other local newspapers, many of which are available at the Missouri State Historical Society.

Contained here is an incomplete file of Black Death records of Charleston, SC. The dates range from 1871 to 1889. This file contains the following fields: last name, first name, date of death. Some of these names had something written in the margin, which I have added under side notes. There were only a few side notes; they consisted of place names or cause of death. You will find there are many infant/child deaths included in this file, only one parent name if any was provided. These files will allow the researcher to find the date of death and maybe a location or cause of death. The fields of information include, last name, given name, parent name, date of death.

The database lists the names of more than 37,000 men and women.Home to 4,260 residents in 1890, Mesa County, Colorado was formed in 1883 from neighboring Gunnison County. This database contains nearly 900 records and the names of about 1,700 men and women from Mesa County.
